After graduating in 1994, Stuart began his career in the accounting profession in general practice before moving into tax, working for major accountancy practices, including the big four. His initial focus was on US and UK expatriate tax advisory and compliance, before moving on to work with large multinational corporations and their senior executives, advising on international tax and social security matters.
Subsequently a Tax Director for a global wealth management firm, Stuart has now specialised in purely private client work for over ten years. This has included providing advice to internationally mobile high net worth individuals on all aspects of tax planning, including trusts, and providing personal financial advice. He has a particular interest in residence and domicile matters.
Having qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2006, Stuart is also a member of the Personal Finance Society, holding the Diploma in Financial Planning.
Stuart lives in South West London, and is an avid runner and keen walker, having completed six marathons and trekked up Kilimanjaro. He also enjoys cycling, and playing cricket for his local club, when time permits, and combines these activities with a young family and busy home life.
